What is Skedaddle? Skedaddle is Troop 159's outing managament tool. It streamlines signups, prerequisites, grubmaster assignments, drivers, outing locations, rosters, and more! New to Skedaddle? Setup your account here!
How to Register for an Outing using Skedaddle:
Login: https://app.skedaddle.run
Select the correct Scout or Adult from your family strip.
Outings: Find the correct outing and click "Register" under the action column. You can see Outing details by clicking on the outing name.
For Adults: You'll be asked if you can drive, and to provide your vehicle/capacity information.
For Scouts: Registration completes immediately
Registered: You'll see your status change to "Registered"
Repeat the process for every member of your family you wish to attend.
Withdraw: If you need to cancel, click the "Withdraw" button when it appears under the action column during the withdrawal period.
Your Skedaddle Profile & To-Do List
Shows the active family member (you or another family member)
Displays any outstanding prerequisites (like medical forms, permission slips, etc.)
If prerequisites are self-attested, you can mark them as complete by clicking "Mark done"
Family, Outings & Calendar
Family strip: Adults can click on a scout's avatar to switch the active member, and register on behalf of their scout or check prerequisites for their scout.
Outings: This shows all upcoming outings with key information:
Outing name, location, and dates: Click the outing title to see full details (dates, description, location, prerequisites, packing lists, etc.)
Status: Shows whether registration is open, closed, full, or if you're already registered
Prerequisites: Displays your progress (e.g., "2/3 complete") and indicates if any prequisites are "gating" (which means they must be completed before registration). Please contact the outing Tour Lead or Outing Coordinator if you feel your prerequisites are listed in error.
Action: Click "Register" to sign up (only appears when registration is open and you're eligible) or Withdraw.
Volunteer for Grubmaster
Once you have signed up for an outing will be see open grubmaster slots for each patrol. Meal planning will occur in person at weekly troop meetings leading up to the event. If you are assigned as your patrol's grubmaster add your name to the the slot in the app to ensure you are reimbursed for the food purchased. Scout grubmasters as responsible for all purchasing meals for their entire patrol: $5/person/meal unless otherwise specified.
Packing Lists
Navigate to the Packing Lists tab in the top menu to prepare for your outing.
Sidebar: Shows official troop packing lists and your personal "My List"
Detail Panel: Displays the selected list with items organized by category (Required, Recommended, Optional, Personal)
Select a packing list from the sidebar (there may be outing-specific lists)
Review items organized by category (Clothing, Cooking, Camping Gear, etc.)
Check off items as you pack them
Download a PDF or print the list using the buttons at the top
Use " My List" to create your own personal checklist that persists across outings

Getting Started with Skeddadle: Set-Up & First Login
Step 1: Check Your Email for Your Invitation
After you become a registered member of Troop 159, you will receive a welcome email from Skedaddle with the subject line "Welcome to Skedaddle!" (Check your spam folder.) The email will contain:
Your username (your email address)
A temporary password (example: Ab123#xyz)
Step 2: First-Time Login
Visit https://app.skedaddle.run in your web browser
Enter your username and temporary password
Click Log In
Step 3: Create Your Own Password
When you log in for the first time, Skedaddle will immediately require you to create a new password.
Enter your temporary password again when prompted
Create a new, secure password of your choosing
Confirm your new password
Click Submit or Change Password
Step 4: Log In with Your New Password
After setting your password, you'll be taken to the login screen again. Use your email address and your newly created password to log in.
Step 5: Complete Your Personal Profile
Add personal prefernces, dietary restrictions, upload a profile avatar, and more!
